Ekiti 2014: Candidates and their running mates

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC yesterday unveiled 18 candidates for the Ekiti State governorship contest.

The electoral commission in a notice also unveiled the running mates to the all male candidates list with four women and an eighty year old man who is running mate to the PDP’s candidate, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.

In the INEC statement issued in Ado Ekiti yesterday by the State Resident Electoral Commissioner,(REC), Alh. Halilu Pai gave details of the names, qualifications of all the candidates as follows: All Progressives Congress APC, Dr Kayode Fayemi, aged (49), a PhD holder as the candidate and Prof. Modupe Adelabu, aged 63 as his running mate.

Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has Ayo Fayose (53), an HND holder as candidate while his deputy is Mr Joshua Olusola-Ojo, a Grade 11 Certificate holder, aged 80.

Labour Party, according to INEC has Hon Opeyemi Bamidele,(51), a lawyer as candidate while his deputy is Mrs Bolanle Bruce,(47), a Journalist and holder of Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism.

Accord Party has Mr Kole Ajayi, born 1967, a publisher and lawyer as candidate while his deputy is Mr Akinyemi Adeola, born 1974 and B.Sc holder.

Action Alliance, (AA) has Mr Opeyemi Akinyemi, (46), a holder of a Secondary School Certificate as candidate while his deputy is Mrs Taiwo Phebe, (35) as running mate.

Citizens Popular Party,(CPP), has Mr Ayodele Olayinka, born 1975 and holder of HND certificate as candidate while his deputy is Mr Oluwafemi Idowu, born in 1986 and holder of B.Sc.

Social Democratic Party, (SDP) has Mr Adekola Ayo born 1954, an Engineer as candidate while his deputy is Mr. Ayeni Isaac, born in 1987 and holder of WAEC.

KOWA Party has Pastor Ade Joseph, born in 1953 and holder of Diploma Certificate as candidate while his deputy is Mr Oluwadare Fagboro, born in 1951 and holder of School certificate.
