Nigeria Government has declared Friday and Monday as public holidays to mark the Good Friday and Easter celebrations
Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.) who announced this on Tuesday in Abuja, enjoined all Christian faithfuls and Nigerians in general to “support, co-operate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari, in his sustained efforts to build a peaceful, united and virile nation.”
He further urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the nation.
“The minister wishes all Nigerians a happy Easter celebration,” the statement added.
